i am quite happy with how i was able to execute this idea! it’s become pretty common lately for me to roam around my house at night looking at everything from the toaster to the tv for ideas on what to take. today, i found my cheap, old mic laying around and decided that i’d give this a try.

just got my rayflash and couldn’t wait to try it out. and it fits over my huge wide-angle lens to. i can’t wait to do more and more portraits like this. for now: a quick snap of ashley while making a damn good dinner.

seattle has been just gorgeous these past few days with great spring weather! i definitely got out there to enjoy it.
this is another one taken at the university this weekend. still learning the in’s-and-out’s of my wide-angle lens, but i always love the close up’s it takes.

tried capturing this tree today at the university. the hdr helped a bit with the shadows, but still wasn’t the best (and looks slightly over-processed). i loved the angle though—the tree was huge and had an amazingly large canopy.
