the team at work had an org-wide morale event where we all took a lunch cruise around lake washington. the weather was great for it and the food turned out to be delicious as well. the gossip about the houses on the shoreline was also quite interesting!

a crossroads on the hike on saturday. this was right before the long descent from the top of the ridge down two miles to where the car was parked. it was quite a bio-mechanical feat that i didn’t fall on the way down!

saturday’s hike lead us up to a clearing at the top where we had a great (and almost unexpected) view of mt. rainier. the weather couldn’t have been better either!
also: does anyone have any recommendations on hiking gps units? i’m thinking of getting one as it seems that the national forest service’s hiking distances seem a little on the low side. :)
