capturing photons.: day thirty-eight; february 7, 2010. best viewed on black.here in the void in your place, i twitch and tweak allusion to sit and stare so blankly into our whole confused house -passion pit it seems that many people who end up taking on a 365 also end up taking photos of their equipment. i attribute this to one of two things: lack of ideas for that day (been there!) or deep (probably unhealthy) love of their equipment. the latter is the subject of my photo today. the subject (and it was a patient one!) is my nikon 14-24mm f2.8 wide angle lens. he’s been candidly caught capturing some stray photons here. strobist info: sb-600 at 1/16 power through shoot-through umbrella camera left. gold reflector at camera right. the shot was a 10sec exposure, and the flash was triggered manually and then for the rest of the exposure i “light painted” with a blue led. this whole thing probably took way too long to accomplish.
