i am quite happy with how i was able to execute this idea! it’s become pretty common lately for me to roam around my house at night looking at everything from the toaster to the tv for ideas on what to take. today, i found my cheap, old mic laying around and decided that i’d give this a try.

sb-900 at 1/4 power with 1/4 cto gel, snooted and held about a meter above the table.
sb-600 at 1/8 power with rosco #358 indigo gel about 1.5 meters frame right.
fired via cls using hotshoe extension cable.
nikon d90, nikon 14-24mm wide angle @ 24mm, iso 100, f/10, 1/200 sec.
