got several letters today in the mail! they definitely made my week, which is kind of weird coming from a huge “email-me” person. this is a close up on the stamp from my grandma’s card from canada.
this just accidentally fit the macro monday theme “contacts” perfectly. how ‘bout that.

sb-900 with hotshoe extension, ttl, bouncing off of wall behind subject.
i used a really hacked up two-lens system for this macro. my kit lens was zoomed to 105mm and my 50mm prime lens was held up backwards to the front of the kit. the vignette definitely comes from the mismatch in lens size coupled with the lack of zoom power on the kit lens.
